The Conferencing Book set features a set of two books, one specifically to record student reading information and another to specifically to record student writing information.
The Conferencing Book features two separate books to allow flexibility to plan, review or discuss student progress in either reading or writing, and is user friendly as both books use the same grids, spreadsheets and segments for recording data.
The Conferencing Book is very manageable in size which makes for easier use, transporting and storage. It can be folded right back and carried around during ‘Kid Watching’ moments and fits alongside student materials on a desk or table.
The Conferencing Book features a thick plastic cover that is durable and will survive constant use. The color coded covers for each book make them easily recognizable by teachers, administrators and pupils.
The Conferencing Book features a ‘What To’and ‘How To’ page that greatly assists classroom teachers and supporting educators to identify what to look for and discuss in conferences, how to find student strengths and weaknesses to decide next steps for instruction, as well as providing a conferencing model.
The Conferencing Book features a spreadsheet across two pages that when filled in gives an immediate picture of who has been seen or conferenced with and who hasn’t. It supports teacher accountability by showing at a glance evidence of conferencing as part of reading and writing instruction, and gives teachers space to include their own additional information or key.
The Conferencing Book features an additional grid page for tracking student progress and itemizing other important student, school, district or educational data such as Interim Assessments, GRL, IRL, ELA results, RR, writing sample expectations, and reached standards.
